A multidisciplinary team approach is required to integrate all the available information and knowledge on health science and health behavior in order to build an integrated network that can advance medical practice and be able to provide quality services.
The causes of most diseases are complex and they are due to a variety of factors such as genetic and physiological inheritance, infections, lifestyle choices, etc. Some of the most common diseases that have emerged over the years are Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Respiratory diseases, Meningitis, HIV/AIDS, Cancer, etc. These diseases are usually associated with poor dietary habits, lack of exercise, exposure to toxins, smoking, consumption of tobacco, etc. These are some of the health issues which can be controlled or improved through better lifestyle choices and through interventions with the help of modern technology. Technological interventions which include nutrition, exercise, genetics, etc are used to modify these health issues.
